Breastfeeding Connect

This support group provides encouragement and practical advice to breastfeeding parents. From latch techniques to managing supply and dealing with common challenges, you'll find a community that understands and supports your breastfeeding journey. This support group is a great opportunity to meet other breastfeeding parents and build a support network.

Location & Time: 

This support group meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 11 am – 12 pm at 55 Lock Street. No registration is needed to attend—this group is walk-in only.

Childbirth Education Program

Yale New Haven Health maternity experts support you through pregnancy and beyond with educational resources, childbirth and infant care classes, breastfeeding and more. Classes are offered online and in-person.

Dancing Through Pregnancy® - Total Pregnancy Fitness

Total Pregnancy Fitness classes meet regularly with low fees for Yale Health members and discounts for students.

Diabetes Education Series

Yale Health clinical staff members will present these four sessions to Yale Health members with type 2 diabetes:”

  • “What is diabetes?” and self-monitoring
  • Healthy eating and activity
  • Medications
  • Complications, sick day management, and healthy coping

Parents of Babies Support Group

This support group provides a supportive environment for new parents to discuss various aspects of parenting, share tips, and support each other through the early stages of parenthood. Whether you’re navigating sleep schedules, feeding routines, or developmental milestones, this group is all about meeting other parents, making friends, and getting the support you need.

This support group meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 11 am – 12 pm at 55 Lock Street. No registration is needed to attend—this group is walk-in only.

Prediabetes Group Education

This group class is offered monthly for our patients with prediabetes. After attending the group class you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the instructor for personal support.

You will learn:

  • What prediabetes is;
  • About risk factors;
  • And simple lifestyle changes to reduce your risk of developing diabetes.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Essentials

This class is designed for expecting parents who want to prepare for breastfeeding. Topics covered include the benefits of breastfeeding, how to establish a good latch, and what to expect in the early days postpartum. It’s a great way to build confidence and get answers to any questions you might have before your baby arrives.

This class meets on the fourth Monday of the month from 5 pm - 6:30 pm at 55 Lock Street.

Yale Health Center Tours and Orientation

Are you a new Yale employee who recently joined Yale Health? Maybe you’re a member who would like more information about your Yale Health coverage. Join us for a tour of the Yale Health Center followed by an orientation session to learn about Yale Health.
